To Know Him Ministries (TKHM) is a faith based non-denomination organization that provides spiritual intervention and transitional placement to the homeless population in the greater Fresno area. This organization was formed in 2009 by Vance and Christina Cantu to minister the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and bring healing to those who are under the bondage of addictions, despair and rejection. In the span of five years, the outreach has grown from about ten volunteers setting up makeshift church on street corners to about fifty member strong group operating on a facility on 1410 F. St. #102. We have been blessed by the Lord to witness miracles of broken lives been mended and dreams restored. The objectives of TKHM are based on the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 25:35-46 and the great commission of preaching the gospel to a lost and dying world. Matthew 25 tells us that whatever we do to the “least amongst us”, we do to the father in heaven. In other words, our father in heaven delights in our reaching out to the sick, homeless, naked and poor in our community. TKHM strongly believe that there is power in the gospel of our Lord Jesus to set the captive free and we have been commissioned to take it to the innermost part of our city.

Danielle’s Story
When the Lord led me to “To Know Him Ministries” my life of anxiety and panic attacks had peaked to the highest level I had ever experienced. The enemy was trying to cripple me with fear. I thought all life consisted of was surviving until you die. I wasn’t sure about heaven because I hadn’t known our loving Father. Like many others I found acceptance, and the idea of “family” in the gang lifestyle along with drug addiction and eventually a 3 ½ year prison term. This consequently led me to losing custody of my children, and suddenly everything I thought I was fighting for was meaningless. I no longer wanted to go back to the thing that took everything away from me, including my family, my childhood innocence, and my parents. So, I walked forward in search of the peace I saw in the people in this church. Vance, Christina and the “To Know Him” congregation became my family since I first walked in the doors. They prayed with me through the anxiety so that I could sit still long enough to hear the word of God. The God who loved me then, and who loves me now. The Lord restored my family, brought my children back to me, and now we all serve Him wholeheartedly. I learned at To Know Him how to be a wife and a mother but most importantly how to embrace that I am a daughter of the Most High God. I walk in His favor, with his guidance, and now know that there is a Heaven after this life that I will spend eternity in with my family.
